Gorgeous Jessica!
For my client Jessica, I wanted to do something a little extra special because she is a natural beauty. She works extremely hard and has just become a registered nurse. So excited for her and all her endeavors! For this look, she wanted a subtle smokey eye that would last her through the day.
The look:
Start with smokey eyes: Mary kay eye shadows : spun silk, crystalline, copper, truffle and precious pink.
Other shadow colors used: L'Oreal emerald infallible eyeshadow and Lise Watier Havanna bronzer for the crease.
I prepped the eyelids prior to this with Mary Kay's eye primer and Makeup forever HD foundation to maintain a water based lid, making it Much easier to blend my mineral based eyeshadows well and even.
Eye liner cateye look: nyx liner (smudge proof!)
Purple 24/7 urban decay liner in the inner lower lid
Skin: prepped with Dermalogica moisturizer (as per request of the client, it's what she used that morning)
Mary kay foundation primer
Used MK concealer in beige 1 and yellow. Blended it in and applied Ben nye banana powder visage under her eyes to set the concealer and highlight
Base: dinair air brush golden beige mixed with their bronzer (she wanted a more sun kissed look b/c she wore white), the peach dinair blush and the Lise Watier Havanna bronzer to contour
Set the skin: Clinique translucent powder using a puff
Used MK dark cherry blush to add to her glow
Lips: MK neutral liner with pink n' plaid by MAC and just a you h of nymphette gloss by Mac
Brows: Anastasia brow wiz combo with makeup forever "aqua brow"
Such an awesome gal! So blessed to work on such a gorgeous face
Eye lashes: duo glue with Katy perry eyelure lashes "oh honey"

Cream foundation sticks, a little goes a long way :-)
For today's look, I started with the eyes! It's always great to start with the eyes so not to mess up your foundation with eye shadow pieces. Prep the eye lids with foundation or eye primer to keep the eyeshadow in place, then apply your colors :-)
The base in my opinion is the most important part of your makeup. It's basically the foundation of the house that you are essentially building, brick by brick. For today's look, I used naimies brand foundation cream stick with SPF 35. I started with priming my face with primer then, using a wet "beauty blender",, take your cream foundation and apply your foundation in rows, like you are laying bricks to your house. If you apply the foundation in rows with a wet sponge, you will spread the product more evenly, give you fuller coverage and you will use less product. After applying your foundation set your foundation with a loose powder and a powder puff using a rolling pin effect, you will cover up any scars or enlarged pores this way. After you have applied your powder, use a large powder brush and sweep off excess powder to not look cakey!
Then apply your contour and highlighting as well as your blush! Feel free to ask me any questions about this look! Have a great day.
Ps- brows are etched out using Makeup forever aqua brow number 15 for dark blonde to light brown :-) remember not to go too dark

French manicure!
Getting manicures are important when you're pregnant! Got my nails done at my favorite hole in the wall with Tiffany!
Watch out! Lime Crime China doll time!
Hey everyone!!
Today I decided to use my "Lime crime" china doll pallet. I love the vibrant colors so much! I decided to use all five colors. In addition, to the pallet, I used aqua brow to fill in and shape my brows, nyx liquid liner, urban decay pencil liner 24/7"desire" blush from Nars, Naimies brand cream foundation stick in "tender beige", and Lise Watier "Havana" bronzer for the contour. Mary kay highlighter stick to highlight the brow! For Mascara I used voluminous in black! Let me know if you have questions!

Skin Care
For years I suffered from cystic acne and tried everything under the sun to fix it. Eventually I found a few things that dramatically changed my skin. So here is my routine, enjoy!
1. The Clarisonic - used at least once a day with a gentle cleanser (morning or night)
2. Mary kay 3-in-1 cleanser for combination to oily skin
-used morning &night, just a pea size
3. Vitamin c serum- this helps heal acne scars and helps regenerate collagen and keeps your skin clean (morn & night)
4. Day solution (has sunscreen SPF 35), super light (only in the morning)
5. Moisturizer Mary kay oily to combo skin
Then I apply my makeup
6. At night: use the Clarisonic with the MK cleanser
7 . Vitamin c treatment (again)
8. Even essence cream (only at night), to even out and fad scars and dark spots
9. Night solution (clear solution that has vitamins in it that help stop pimples) - the solution acts like veil and protects your skin while you sleep.
10. Last but not least! My Mary kay oil free moisturizer for oily to combination skin
Seems like a lot, but has made my skin clear and silky smooth even during pregnancy! Hopes this helps you all!
Ps- For long lashes and fuller brows I use Mary Kay brow and lash serum! I was a skeptic at first, but it makes my lashes grow longer, fuller and makes your brows amazing. I apply the serum at night before I go to bed.

Tiffany's wedding makeup
One of my closest and best friends is getting married! Of course when she asked me to do her wedding makeup, I was both touched and excited! We will be using Dinair airbrush foundation, Yessey beauty lashes and the "romantic eye" pallet from too faced, to name a few. Stay posted here, while we post all our work in progress before her big day! Tiffany has blue eyes and has a very light olive complexion, which makes the "romantic eye" pallet the best choice for her due to their rich pigments and vibrant tones that compliment her in the best way possible.

Makeup Forever HD foundation
Hello friends!
So for a while now I have heard so many people talk about "Makeup forever HD" liquid foundation. From celebrities to the fabulously dressed bank teller, all have endorsed this product. As a makeup artist as well as a makeup addict, I have tried many MUFE products and really liked them all, but some how, never got around to trying the hyped best selling HD foundation. Yesterday, after visiting my favorite makeup store, "Naimies" in LA, I decided to give it a shot. This product is outstanding! I have old acne scars that were completely covered by this lightweight water based formula. The best part? It lasted all day! I am so thrilled with this product. If you have not tried it yet, definitely "treat yo self!" and buy your perfect match today :-) along side with taking a chance on the foundation, I also picked up "MUFE (makeup forever) Aqua brow". This highly pigmented masterpiece applies almost like a lightweight mousse. To apply this product, simply squeeze out a small dot and use your angled eyebrow brush and apply small strokes as if you were apply pieces of hair to your brow. The end result? Natural and gorgeous brows that make you eyes stand out. Hope everyone had a great Wednesday!
