Mother of the Groom makeup

I had the privilege of doing my mother's make up as a trial for my brother's upcoming
wedding this summer. I can't believe how amazing she looks! She looks like she looked when we were kids!

I kept everything extremely soft, here is what I used:

Eyes:
Too faced "romantic eye pallet", just the "Soulmates" color (light shimmer all over the eyes)
- crease: Nars desire blush (perfect bright pink blush, matte

Liner: Kat Von D tattoo liner in trooper

Foundation: Becca radiant skin satin finish in "noisette"

Blush: too faced sweet heart blush in  perfect flush blush

Bronzer: Lise watier in Havana

Lips: Mac soar, maybelline nude lust in 920, Mary kay lip gloss in pink luster

Lashes: Katy perry eyelure "punk princess" with duo dark adhesive

When doing makeup for the mother of the bride or mother of the groom, you want to keep your lines very fluid and straight. Always best to use natural light if you can! Blend! Blend! Blend! The last thing you want is for makeup to settle where it should not. Thanks for reading today's blog, hope you all get to work with a face as exquisite as my mother's face!

Purple eyes

While using several colors the color that really stands out is Nars "daphne". I generally am not the biggest fan of Nars eye shadows because I think they are too expensive and they do not blend well. However, I give credit where credit is due and "daphne" and "China doll" (a deep navy blue) are beautifully pigmented colors. I'm a huge fan of most Nars products (blush, bronzer, etc), that being said!

Brows: MUFE Aqua brow #15 mixed with #10

Foundation: Armani silk 5.5
Bronzer: cover fx suntan
Lips: bobbi brown lip liner in brownie
Lashes: Mac 7

DIY blonde

Hey everyone! I dyed my own hair blonde, and I was so happy with the results. I love my hairstylist, but as a mom, you don't always have the time to get your 4 inches of roots touched up :-)

This product is from the féria line from L'oréal, and it's nice because it can bump you up to 7 levels lighter. This particular one is nice because you can control how light you go and where you want it to go. I purchased the hair color for about $4 at Ulta (normally $10, still so affordable), and was over the moon how pretty it turned out. Another great bonus about this product, was that I have sensitive skin, and this dye did not irritate me at all. The "Féria" line also makes beautiful dyes for darker hair as well, I've tried them all and they have not compromised my hair.  Make sure if you do try the platinum series, that you use a blue or purple shampoo while it's processing (it works like a toner).
